Conjunctions (Холбоос үг)

Conjunctions are words used as joiners. They connect other words or groups of words. Some of these conjunctions can be used as other parts of speech such as adverbs, pronouns and prepositions.

Холбоос үг нь үг болон өгүүлбэрийг хооронд нь холбож өгөх үүрэгтэй. Заримдаа холбоос үг нь өгүүлбэрт дайвар үг, төлөөний нэр ба угтвар үгийн утгыг агуулж өгүүлбэрт ордог.

These conjunctions are adverbs used as conjunctions. Заримдаа дайвар үг бас холбоос үгийн үүрэг гүйцэтгэдэг. Доорх дайвар үгс холбоос үгийн хэлбэрээр бас ашиглагдана.

The following are frequently used conjunctive adverbs:

after all

in addition

next

also	incidentally	nonetheless
as a result	indeed	on the contrary
besides	in fact	on the other hand
consequently	in other words	otherwise
finally	instead	still
for example	likewise	then
furthermore	meanwhile	therefore
hence	moreover	thus
however	nevertheless

Ex: 1.Therefore I want to say thank you very much for you. (Юуны өмнө би чамд талархсанаа хэлэхийг хүсч байна)

2. Today was a very hot day nevertheless the builders worked all day. (Өнөөдөр маш халуун өдөр байлаа гэтэл барилгачид өдөржингөө ажиллав)
